Japanese artist, Yasuhiro Suzuki, has opened up the sea with the Zipper Boat. It is a boat shaped like a giant zip. As the vessel glides through the water, the wake looks like a zipper coming undone, suggesting the image of the sea opening up.

Suzuki created a scale model of the zipper boat in 2004. He created a full-sized version of it back in 2010. The zipper boat made a comeback over the past few weeks as part of an outdoor art installation for the Tokyo DesignArt 2020 festival.
