Lynda Jean Cordova Carter is an American actress, singer, and beauty pageant titleholder. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona and made her TV debut at the age of 5.
In 1972, Lynda won a local Arizona beauty contest and gained national attention in the United States by winning Miss World USA 1972, representing Arizona. In the international Miss World 1972 pageant, she represented the United States and reached the Top 15.
She is best known as the star of the live-action television series Wonder Woman. She played the role of Diana Prince / Wonder Woman which is based on the DC comic book fictional superhero character of the same name.
As well as Wonder Woman, Lynda also starred in Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw (1976), Super Troopers (2001) and Sky High (2005).
